‘Scrubs’ season 1 was premiered on NBC channel but this year it has been broadcasted on ABC and will continue with the upcoming season 9, which will hit TV screens in November, 2009. “Scrubs” seasons are filmed at the North Hollywood Medical Center, California. The series starts by show casing the main protagonist of the show, John Michael Dorian, in his first year after he passes his medical school. Also known as ‘J.D.’ his internal thoughts are given his voice over and time and again features strange fantasies. He had crush on his mentor, Dr. Perry Cox, a beautiful woman but later on starts loving Elliot Reid, his fellow interim. Then he encounters the hospital’s janitor, who does not leave any chance to make his life a hell. J.D.’s best friend and fellow intern, Turk quickly makes the head nurse, Carla Espinosa, his new girlfriend who always put him in strange situations to check and watch his seriousness towards relationship. Finding him good in all aspects she marries him later. The series shows the advancement made by characters in their career maintaining and making new personal relationships. ‘Scrubs’ seasons have been created by Bill Lawrence and produced by ABC Studios since its starting and later on, observe the increasing popularity of the show, Josh Bycel, Goldman and Donovan also joined as executive producers.
‘Scrubs’ season 1 was premiered on 2nd October, 2001 and was nominated for writing, editing and casting of a comedy. The show has also been nominated as Best Editing for a Multi-camera series and won Humanitas prize, Primetime Emmy Awards, George Foster Peabody Award, Golden Globe award.
