Its ages before Scrubs comes back on the small screen for the 8th season. Probably in December or may be in January. Of all the series running on TV about hospitals and medicos Scrub is my favorite. A light hearted take at the grim situations one is likely to come across in a hospital. I keep going over the old episodes while I wait for the next season. Seventh season was supposed to be the final season but then one more season was added. And now there are rumors that it can stretch beyond the 8th season. Good for Scrub fans like me.
Its creator Bill Laurence has hinted towards many more seasons of Scrubs that has now moved to ABC this season. But I bet it’s not going to be easy. Many veterans have announced their departure from the show. Earlier Zach Braff who plays the lead as John Dorian had told that he would be leaving Scrubs. Now the pretty nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes) has decided to leave the show to pursue a career in films.
If Carla leaves there will be a problem as to whether Donald Faison who plays Chris Turk, Carla’s husband, would remain on the show. Their divorce is a very remote possibility. I hate myself for suggesting that only way Chris Turk can remain without Carla is if she is dies. Do you have a better idea?
Since Zach Braff would be leaving after 8th season, creators would have to find a new protagonist. Well if I were Bill Laurence, I would introduce a lot of characters in this season itself. There should be enough reasons for the audiences and other characters to come back for another season once our beloved characters have left. Who do you think would do best as the main character out of the present characters?

‘ My waste of time’ is another good episode from Scrubs series which was full of transitions. The episode starts with Elliot and JD. They both realize that their relationship is taking a turn after they spend time together when they’re tracking a former patient. Ted, Kelso’s whipping boy and the most one-dimensional character of the series started showing some life. We all know that Kelso is gone and everything is for Ted so he’s ready to make a new start.
Janitor is also on Ted’s side and is too nice to him. Janitor had told him to get self confidence which can help him. Elliot and JD start hanging out once again and starting to look like a couple.
Dr. Cox is now Chief of Medicine and she ponders on his new job title and discovers the negative side of his title. Carla wants another babe so she discusses the issue with Turk. Ted wins some confidence and challenges the authority of Janitor but refuses to do majority of his work. Meanwhile, the Janitor stakes claim of Dr. Kelso’s office for the brain trust. I must say episode was good and I really enjoyed this episode. Let’s talk about scrubs season 8. Scrubs season 8 has been officially announced and is coming on a new network ABC but sadly no official info is revealed about airing details.

An amazing off-screen drama is going on with Scrubs and the latest news reveals that the series could b returning for an 8th season while at same time moving to ABC. Previously, an official announcement was made that the current 7th season is the last season of the show but due to writers’ strike the show suspended production with six episodes. According to Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence “He was sure that no matter what, the final episodes would b made by ABC studios.”

However, the details of the deal are still unknown, it’s apparent that it would involve new contacts for the whole crew & cast. Plans are ready for the show to go back into production and will be ready to air on this fall. Scrubs star Aloma Wright tells EW “As far as I know, it’s set”.
It is a successfully running TV show from the last 7 seasons because it offers a view of life in a hospital from the viewpoint of fresh medical interns. Meaningful conversations between characters with perfect pacing make each episode full of fun and joy. Qualified doctors with life time friendships try to get through hard roles of life by relying on each other. It’s only of its type comedy show which can make you cry while watching a comedy series because the situations are so real and nearly relate to life. What make the show extraordinary are emotions and themes which are more real with Scrubs than any other TV show. ABC will an ideal network for Scrubs because NBC’s Thursday nights are always the lowest rated so an appearance with new line up will be helpful. I hope that if Scrubs is given new life on ABC, it’s allowed the creative license that has so dominated this show throughout its history.
