The least-anticipated twists found way into Scrubs!

Yeah, the show creators have planned to give a new form to Scrubs TV show. Consequently, the series is about to undergo an extreme change in the upcoming seasons.  We all know that Scrubs would return with the ninth season in the upcoming winter. As series would come back, we fans will see it in a brand new form. Actually, the plotline will move from the corridors of Sacred Heart Hospital to the class-rooms of the medical school. Who will be teaching the new interns? Well, the up-to-minute reports are confirming that Dr. Cox and Dr. Turk would serve as the med-school professors.

While talking about same, series creator Bill Lawrence added, “It’s going to be a different show.  It’ll still be life-and-death stakes, but if the show is just Scrubs again in the hospital with a different person’s voiceover, it would be a disaster, and people would be mad”. Well, all this makes me excited to catch the next episodes of series. A new setting…. Cox and Turk as the teachers….things are gonna be quite new and surprising as well.    Ah… we would have to wait a long

It’s also being reported that fans of Scrubs are worrying about losing the old charm of Scrubs. Hey buddies, you don’t need to grieve for it. Changes are for betterment only so I am sure that new form of Scrubs would definitely make you fall in love with it once again.

Though several new faces would appear on the ninth season of Scrubs, the importance of former regular star cast can never go out of one’s sight. And, the creators know it very well. That’s why they approached Braff, Sarah Chalke (Elliot), Judy Reyes (Carla) and Ken Jenkins (Dr. Kelso) to sign them for making guest appearances on the series. This is the only way to keep the old Scrubs fans happy. It makes me to regret over my previous post in which I wrote that the regular characters would be seen once again. They would, but as the guest stars…not regular ones!

Would the project be successful? Nothing can be said until the series hits the silver screen. Yeah, but we must appreciate Lawrence’s skills to bring Scrubs back.

Those, who’re skeptical about the future of the medical-comedy drama Scrubs, can, now, have a sigh of relief.

Much to fans’ pleasure, the ninth season of Scrubs tv show has been announced by the network. After the season 8 finale, My Finale, aired on May 6, 2009, an uncertainty was experienced by the fans regarding the future of the show. The show representatives kept mum, uttering no words regarding the continuation or cancellation of the series. As of now, fans of Scrubs are happy to know that their favorite show would be back on TV screens soon.

Adding more spice to it is the return of Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke, portraying the characters of Dr. John ‘J.D.’ Dorian and Dr. Elliot Reid, respectively on Scrubs. It has been reported that the duo has signed a deal to make appearance on the six episodes of ninth season of Scrubs. Not only these two, but other members of star cast such as Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn (as Dr. Chris Turk, Dr. Perry Cox and The Janitor respectively) would also reprise their respective roles. A possibility is here that Judy Reyes, portraying Nurse Carla Espinosa, would not be among the regular star cast of the series and appear as the guest character in the upcoming episodes of ‘Scrubs’.    

Well, its’ definitely time to get excited as another entertaining season of our favorite Scrubs is knocking on our doors. One thing which needs to be pondered over is how different Scrubs would be this season. The above mentioned characters would return, without any doubts, but the fans will miss those cast members who have left the show due to reasons of their own. In order to fulfill the plot requirements, the series would need some fresh faces, most probably. Let’s see who joins Scrubs for its ninth season and how the departure of some well-liked characters affects the show.

Much loved and accepted ABC medical drama ‘Scrubs’, running with the eighth season, would not hit our TV screen any more. As we all know, eighth season of series is on air and is receiving good ratings, following the tremendous success of seven seasons. Season 8 would soon come to an end, on May 6, 2009 with season finale entitled ‘My Finale’. It’s gonna be an hour long episode and it has been confirmed by the ABC Network.

In this episode, as per the words of the series creator Bill Lawrence, we will see J.D. deciding to leave Sacred Heart Hospital and taking a job closer to his son. Scrubs initially started airing on NBC Network and continued from 2001-2008, the first seven season of series. It was last spring when ABC picked up the show from NBC and served as its podium for the eighth season of series. It was, then, announced by the Lawrence and Braff that season 8 of Scrubs would be their last and they won’t pick it up for any more seasons. It was somewhere in the minds of the fans that they would surely pick it for new seasons if ratings remained good. But the ever decreasing ratings of just 5.1 million viewers per episode were not enough for them to announce new seasons. Thus, it would be going away from our TV schedules! The only one chance of Scrubs’ survival is if some other network picks the series for some episodes. Let’s see… no comments now!

Anyways, the very recent episode of series was aired on April 8, 2009, entitled My Soul On Fire, Part 1. In this episode, we saw the characters’ trip to Bahamas. It was a well planned trick to boost up the ratings of the show, which didn’t do any wonders. The upcoming episodes of series are My Soul On Fire, Part 2, My Cuz, My Chief Concern and My Finale, scheduled to be aired on April 15, April 22, April 29 and May 6, 2009 respectively. ‘Scrubs’ is coming back for season 8 this fall but there is exodus of stars from the show which has put the future of the show in doldrums. Creator Bill Lawrence recently commented that he would like the show to go on forever or at least, until its ninth season. But, with its two central characters Jack Braff and Judy Reyes gone, there is remote possibility of the show surviving beyond this season. As an ardent fan, I sincerely hope that ‘Scrubs’ get even stronger with 8^th season after shifting to ABC.

In an interview Lawrence said that there were at least 50\50 chances of the show going on beyond this season. Lawrence also said that “I see it as ending for Zach, and I see it as ending for me” and that the particular season 8 episode they are producing is “definitely written as a series finale.” It’s really sad if it happens this way because, of all the medical dramas going on TV, Scrubs is the best. This comedy series deals with the grave issues in a very light hearted manner.

Judy, who plays Carla Espinosa on ‘Scrubs’, was on TV recently. Last month, she was on the Lifetime telepic, Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story, in which she appeared alongside ‘Ugly Betty’s’ Ana Ortiz. The film is directed by Paul A. Kaufman and written by Christopher Canaan and Maria Nation. The film is about a little girl who grows up realizing that the mother who took care of her isn’t her biological parent, and tries to discover her identity.

Judy played Luz Cuevas in the film, mother of two beautiful children and wife to a loving husband, played by Hector Luis Bustamante. Luz’s life is turned upside down when her infant daughter is presumed to be victim of a fire that broke out in their home. Luz keeps up the hope that her daughter is still alive, as her remains were not found after the fire. She also suspects that her cousin, Valerie (Ana Ortiz) took the baby and started the fire to cover up her tracks.

Its ages before Scrubs comes back on the small screen for the 8^th season. Probably in December or may be in January. Of all the series running on TV about hospitals and medicos Scrub is my favorite. A light hearted take at the grim situations one is likely to come across in a hospital. I keep going over the old episodes while I wait for the next season. Seventh season was supposed to be the final season but then one more season was added. And now there are rumors that it can stretch beyond the 8^th season. Good for Scrub fans like me.

Its creator Bill Laurence has hinted towards many more seasons of Scrubs that has now moved to ABC this season. But I bet it’s not going to be easy. Many veterans have announced their departure from the show. Earlier Zach Braff who plays the lead as John Dorian had told that he would be leaving Scrubs. Now the pretty nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes) has decided to leave the show to pursue a career in films.

If Carla leaves there will be a problem as to whether Donald Faison who plays Chris Turk, Carla’s husband, would remain on the show. Their divorce is a very remote possibility. I hate myself for suggesting that only way Chris Turk can remain without Carla is if she is dies. Do you have a better idea?

Since Zach Braff would be leaving after 8^th season, creators would have to find a new protagonist. Well if I were Bill Laurence, I would introduce a lot of characters in this season itself. There should be enough reasons for the audiences and other characters to come back for another season once our beloved characters have left. Who do you think would do best as the main character out of the present characters?

Guys, its time to prepare a bowl of popcorns and put some beers to chill in the refrigerator. Because now you people will resist sleeping early every night. Now doctors are coming back with the laughter injections. You won’t like to miss the dancing Turk. For all this fun you have to hang on with the season eight of ‘Scrubs‘ which is going to bring a baggage of surprises for you. This season there will be many guest stars in the Scrub’s hospital. Do you know, Elmo, the furry red Muppet with googly eyes and an orange nose? We have seen him in the ‘123 Sesame Street’. He is going be our guest star at Scrubs along with his other buddies Oscar, a grouch who lives in a garbage can and Grover, known as confident cute blue monster. All of them are all the stars of children’s most popular educational show as well as they have separately appeared in other shows and films too.

I am pretty excited to watch their role in Scrubs and what kind of fun stuff they are going to add. In fact I am wondering if there is any significant role for them.

Anyways, leave it and let me share another spoiler with you. I have heard that it’s time for wedding bells to chime this season on Scrubs. Reports say that the entire team is going to Bahamas to witness the exchanging of vows. If you want to know whose wedding bells then I would reply if I’ll tell you all then what you will get from the show when it comes on airs. So have patience.

There are other speculations too about the role of Kelso, the chief of medicine. I came to know that Scrubs creator, Bill Lawrence, John McGinely (Dr. Perry Cox) have asked his dear friend and 39 year old film actor John Cusack to guest star in Scrubs. On the other hand, Jennifer Garner, best at comedy is also under consideration for the same role. Let’s see who makes to it as McGinely is still trying to convince Cusack. Wait and watch.

An amazing off-screen drama is going on with Scrubs and the latest news reveals that the series could be returning for an 8^th season while at same time moving to ABC. Previously, an official announcement was made that the current 7^th season is the last season of the show but due to writers’ strike the show suspended production after six episodes. According to Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence “He was sure that no matter what, the final episodes would be made by ABC studios.”

However, the details of the deal are still unknown, it’s apparent that it would involve new contacts for the whole crew & cast. Plans are ready for the show to go back into production and will be ready to air on this fall. Scrubs star Aloma Wright tells EW “As far as I know, it’s set”.

It is a successfully running TV show from the last 7 seasons because it offers a view of life in a hospital from the viewpoint of fresh medical interns. Meaningful conversations between characters with perfect pacing make each episode full of fun and joy. Qualified doctors with life time friendships try to get through hard roles of life by relying on each other. It’s only this type comedy show which can make you cry while watching a comedy series because the situations are so real and nearly relate to life. What make the show extraordinary are emotions and themes which are more real with Scrubs than any other TV show. ABC will be ideal network for Scrubs because NBC’s Thursday nights are always the lowest rated so an appearance with new line up will be helpful. I hope that if Scrubs is given new life on ABC, it’s allowed the creative license that has so dominated this show throughout its history.
