Those, who’re skeptical about the future of the medical-comedy drama Scrubs, can, now, have a sigh of relief.
Much to fans’ pleasure, the ninth season of Scrubs tv show has been announced by the network. After the season 8 finale, My Finale, aired on May 6, 2009, an uncertainty was experienced by the fans regarding the future of the show. The show representatives kept mum, uttering no words regarding the continuation or cancellation of the series. As of now, fans of Scrubs are happy to know that their favorite show would be back on TV screens soon.
Adding more spice to it is the return of Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke, portraying the characters of Dr. John ‘J.D.’ Dorian and Dr. Elliot Reid, respectively on Scrubs. It has been reported that the duo has signed a deal to make appearance on the six episodes of ninth season of Scrubs. Not only these two, but other members of star cast such as Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn (as Dr. Chris Turk, Dr. Perry Cox and The Janitor respectively) would also reprise their respective roles. A possibility is here that Judy Reyes, portraying Nurse Carla Espinosa, would not be among the regular star cast of the series and appear as the guest character in the upcoming episodes of ‘Scrubs’.
Well, its’ definitely time to get excited as another entertaining season of our favorite Scrubs is knocking on our doors. One thing which needs to be pondered over is how different Scrubs would be this season. The above mentioned characters would return, without any doubts, but the fans will miss those cast members who have left the show due to reasons of their own. In order to fulfill the plot requirements, the series would need some fresh faces, most probably. Let’s see who joins Scrubs for its ninth season and how the departure of some well-liked characters affects the show.
